Zeitwarp x The Auction
Leading the artistic appropriation of blockchain technology in the NEAR ecosystem is Zeitwarp with his FEEDBACK LOOPS project. Zeitwarp works exclusively on the NEAR Protocol blockchain, and his art is featured in physical and metaverse gallery shows. This experimental project explores the cyclical transformation between audio, visual, sound, and art. Earlier this year, the artist released a collection, GLITCH BREAKS, as a part of his creative exploration. The Auction minted THE LOOP from this collection as its whitelist token. Many collectors look forward to more NFTs from this project. Zeitwarp’s FEEDBACK LOOPS exploration continues with FRACTAL GROOVES, an audiovisual collection using blockchain and AR technology with visuals derived from original physical paintings. The Auction is excited to have Zeitwarp’s unique creative vision return to our platform with FRACTAL GROOVE #1 D-Minor III.
FRACTAL GROOVES is an audiovisual collection of 24 derivative works based on physical paintings from the MUSIC GRAFFITI series and 24 music keys. The artist creates the NFT art in this collection using visual distortion. The manipulation is done systematically according to the looping and repeating fractal-inspired methods of mixing digital scans of the original paintings. The original MUSIC GRAFFITI painting comes from a series of works transforming musical concepts into semi-abstract and highly textured paintings in a graffiti style. The painting is completely transformed through the artist’s digital process and is only recognizable as being similar in style.
FRACTAL GROOVE #1 D-Minor III is an 8-second looping MP4 derived from the D Minor III physical painting. The auction winner will also receive a physical A4 giclée print of the original physical painting. The Fractal Groove #1 D-Minor III MP4 will be accessible as an AR on the physical print using the Artivive app. Auctions for these collections begin July 12 with FRACTAL GROOVE #1 D-Minor III.
